Mr.P.NAVEENKUMAR M.E was born to the parents of Mr.Periyannan and Mrs.Amsavalli. His father is a physically challenged while his mother is a victim of intense Rheumatoid Arthritis. He was solely brought up by his grandmother. He as a child growing up in such an environment, the only prominent thing in his mind was fear and pain. Seeing all this, he had a burning desire to become a doctor and eventually cure his parents. But these hopes came crashing one day when he ultimately realized that school education itself was a luxury. So, in an attempt to manage his finances, he would go to the fields in the morning and work for 4 Rupees. It helped him to get his own snacks. Evenings were more pitiful, for he had to clean cow dung for money, in the small 2- hour window between his school and tuition. Considering these circumstances this youngman studied hard, completed his engineering and shined as a topper.
He completed Masters of Engineering in the discipline Thermal Engineering in 2016 at Excel College of Engineering, Komarapalayam that is affiliated to Anna University. He excelled as Zonal player in ball badminton. He is passionate towards directing a short film at very young age and so he directed “VIZHIN PAADHAI” and was awarded first prize for the same in various colleges.
His orating excellence gave him many stages to appear as a chief guest. He was the centre of excellence in Kalasalingam University on March 2018, ANNA University-Chennai on Feb-2018, POTHIGAI TV channel for Namba virunthinar Program, NEWS 7 CHANNEL for Phenix manitharkal program,Kalaingar news, Jaya tv for Unnai Arinthal Program, clubs such as JCI,LIONS,Rotary club etc.
Inspired by the visions of great leaders like Swami Vivekananda and APJ Abdul Kalam, who have envisioned him towards the creation of awareness among people and youth of the country to get involved in the development of less fortunate people to transform them from poverty to prosperity by helping them to lead a dignified life. His aim is to eradicate the begging through education and awareness especially by not encouraging people to give money to beggars who mostly misuse it for anti-life and social activities. Instead, people should volunteer to give a hand to lift beggars out of poverty by providing them material support
The homeless people on streets lack access to basic necessities such as food, shelter and healthcare. They are exposed to harsh weather conditions, violence and exploitation. Without access to education, job training or other opportunities, they may find themselves trapped in a life of begging. While some beggars may be able to find shelter and support from charitable organizations, many are left to fend for themselves on the streets. Beggars are often caught in a cycle of poverty. A few of them suffer from mental health or addiction issues, which can further complicate their situation.
Begging creates an economic burden on the society. It's a social threat and also creates negative impact on tourism. Begging may seem like a harmless activity, but it can have several negative impacts on society. Addressing the root causes of begging such as poverty, lack of education and social inequality, is necessary to alleviate this problem.
His focus is to eliminate poverty and social menace by rescuing, providing basic amenities, rehabilitating through admission in respective homes, ensuring sustainable livelihood through capacity building by vocational and skill training programs to rebuild their lives and become selfsufficient, reintegrating the service users with one’s family in possible cases and periodical follow up. On addressing the root cause for begging, he reduces the burden on public services and contributes to the achievement of the global goals.
