Atchayam Beggars Rehabilitation Home for homeless, helpless and hopeless has been relocated on September 2022 from Soolai locality to NULM-Erode corporation building at Lakkapuram, Solarputhur which was allotted by Erode Municipal corporation. There are 40 beneficiaries in Atchayam Beggars Rehabilitation Home .

In the early days, it was inaugurated on December 2020 at Ram Nagar, Soolai of Erode district. The Rehabilitation Centre is a 40 bedded institutionalized facility which has been framed in a structured manner to provide counseling and training to the beggars and scale up our efforts to reach out large number of beggars in entire districts of Tamil Nadu. More than 350 beggars were directly benefited in our rehabilitation centre.

Services Offered

  • 24x7 Medications are given regularly through consulted physicians apart from nursing care for the needy.
  • Periodical counseling by the experts and rehabilitate them by various kinds of therapies. Animal therapy or pet therapy involving the animals to help people cope with and recover from some physical and mental health conditions was done basically. The beneficiaries entertain themselves with the pet animals like dogs, rabbit, goat and birds that were grown up in home. This gives them a sense of feel as living in a home like a common man and not imprisoned.
  • They actively involves in recreational activities like yoga and meditation for mental relaxation.
  • Fun games are being conducted every evening as an entertaining activity
  • Celebrating special occasions and festivals inspite of religious difference to insist the feeling of oneness and happiness.
  • There's a library to inculcate the reading habit among the residents so that they can think broader.
  • Daily update on current affairs through newspapers reading.
  • They engage in gardening as a refreshing and healthy activity that boosts their mental health.
  • Cultivating and developing the artistic knowledge through skill development programmes for their sustainable livelihood.
